Tim North, PE
Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Tim has over 14 years of experience preparing geotechnical investigations and reports in the Pacific Northwest, Southwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. He is licensed in Washington, Oregon and California. Tim earned his undergraduate degree, BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, and holds a MS in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University. He started True North Geotechnical Services in 2017 and has grown it to be a prominent local firm providing services across Washington and Oregon. He is proud to serve his community and contribute to the growth and development of the region. When he is not working, Tim enjoys biking, camping, snowboarding and spending time with his wife and two sons.

Tim is also the recipient of the Vancouver Business Journal’s Accomplished and Under 40 Award for 2020.

Ewa North
Director of Operations

Ewa has worked alongside Tim since 2017 managing the day-to-day operations for True North. She has a solid background in administrative work from higher education institutions to legal firms. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Elementary Education from the College of William and Mary and a Master’s in Education – Curriculum and Instruction. She enjoys the flexibility and the work-life balance that working part-time for the family business affords her.

Jason Weeks , PE
Principal Civil Engineer

Jason has excelled for the last 14 years on management and design of civil infrastructure and residential projects. He manages projects through innovative design, cost conscious decisions, and ensuring the owner is always informed. Jason acquired his undergraduate degree at University of Portland, and acquired his PE in the state of Washington. He has a passion ensuring your project has an effective value based solution to create an aesthetic design that you will enjoy for years to come. When away from work, Jason enjoys homebrewing wine, Dungeons and Dragons, and Fantasy Football.

 

Stefan Pribilsky
Senior Field Technician /


Engineering Intern

Stefan is a student at PSU in the engineering department. He is on track to graduate in 2022. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Oregon. He has been at True North since early 2019 working on residential and commercial projects alongside Tim. Stefan enjoys reading, playing the guitar, running, and spending time outdoors with friends in his free time.

Daniel Watkins, PE
Geotechnical Engineer

Daniel has over 22 years of professional geotechnical and civil engineering experience in the Pacific Northwest and is licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University in 1994.  As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at True North, Daniel enjoys the “organic” team atmosphere, camaraderie, and variety of projects he is involved with from concept to completion. He also very much enjoys mentoring the younger staff; passing on his knowledge acquired throughout his years in the industry. When away from work he loves to travel with his wife, work on their property in Camas, and generally enjoy the moment.

 

Lauren Arndt, EIT
Geotechnical Staff Engineer

Lauren has her Civil Engineering Bachelor’s degree from PSU. As an undergrad, she has enjoyed opportunities to learn about soil mechanics and earthquake engineering through studying abroad and in her role as co-captain of PSU’s Earthquake Engineering Research Institute Student Design Team. In her free time, Lauren enjoys camping and backpacking, tending her vegetable, herb, and flower gardens, and playing tabletop games with friends and family.

 

Partrick Lemmer,
Lab & Field Technician / Engineering Intern

Patrick is studying toward his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with specialization towards Geotechnical Engineering. He has done lab and field studies the last three years between GCN and True North, and enjoys the balance of indoor and outdoor work. Patrick has grown up in the Pacific Northwest as a Boyscout and has received his Eagle Scout rank. He loves to Camp, design/make outdoor gear, and nerds out about history, economics and global politics.

 

Tima Carlson, RG
Staff Geologist

Tima has mastered new skills in the geotechnical industry for over 20 years and is licensed as a Geologist In Training. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Portland State University in 2000.  
Her skills and can-do attitude employ her extensive knowledge of both the technical and business aspects to our geotechnical practice. Off the clock she volunteers regularly at Soulflags Art Community Center, a non-profit art center located in Oregon City. On top of all this she is married, has 2 kids, a dog, 3 cats, 4 chickens and an oxylotl.

 

Kevin Brown
Construction Observations Manager

Kevin has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon in General Science with a minor in Geology. He served in the US Army Reserve for 6 years as a Transportation Management Coordinator. He has lived in the Pacific Northwest his entire life and enjoys riding motorcycles, camping, and engaging with the community.


 

Gracelyn Thompson,
Drafter/ Engineering Intern

Gracelyn is a student at Mt. Hood Community College. She is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and is on track to transfer to PSU in 2024 and to graduate in 2026. In her free time, Gracelyn enjoys camping, hiking, playing video games, and designing future personal projects in AutoCAD such as a tiny house, a two story home, a shop, and more.

Scott Widemer
Staff Project Designer

Scott has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from Macalester College and Masters of Science in Marine Resource Management from Oregon State University. His background is in Environmental consulting and county planning. In his spare time Scott enjoys hiking in the beautiful PNW and spending time with his wife and two young sons.

 

Noah Anderson
Field Technician

Noah is a artisanal wood craftsman who has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana with a minor in Environmental Science. In addition to his work with True North, he is a master woodworker and has constructed a large amount of the furniture, including some pieces that are at the True North office. He lived in Louisiana prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest enjoys Cajun cooking,  and is a dogged osteologist.

 

Hannah Coleman
Drafter/ Engineering Intern

Hannah is studying to get her bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering and plans to get a masters degree in architecture. She did many different kinds of work including accounting services, cooking, sales and child care before she ultimately found her calling in the field of engineering. Her and her boyfriend have a big fluffy maine coon named Theo and a russian blue cat named Meeko. In her free time she enjoys traveling, camping, reading and gardening.
